A Disappointing Day For My Son, The Perfecionist

Jeremiah had his final Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts today. He placed 6th overall. 1st in his den. He wasn't very happy, but he'll get over it. He had baseball tryouts today as well and didn't do as well as he would have liked. So, a pretty disappointing day for the poor little guy, but we all have them, and he's got to learn how to deal with them someday. Now's as good a time as any anyway. I don't think he did as poorly as he thinks at baseball tryouts. He takes after his mom and beats himself up a lot. A little too much of my perfectionism in him! We both need to knock it off and accept that no one's perfect, ourselves especially not!
