Mostly just me, thinking on "paper." Not much editting, just me hashing out my thoughts.

Kids and Their Educations
Well, today Jeremiah decided to go to school. He needed to finish his research paper and I have a parent-teacher conference with his teacher tomorrow. I think he's worried about what his teacher might say. I have a feeling it's not going to be good. He seems to "forget" to do some of his assignments. I can lean over him only so much and force him to do his work. Chloe, I think is doing well, and Angela is having trouble in a few areas, but not too badly. Of course, Chloe is doing well for her. She has a little bit of trouble as I mentioned before on here I think, but she's improving very quickly. She's not going to need summer school this summer, which is good since we won't be in town most of the summer. I think camp will be good for her, too. We won't even have a television set to watch movies on, so we'll have that many fewer distractions from working on reading skills and things, and plenty of outdoor activities and crafts to improve her sweet little mind as well as the rest of ours.

I have a couple that "forget" to do a lot of assignments, too. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteHe seems to think that if he gets good grades on the tests that should cancel out the lack of homework. He gets A's and B's on all his tests, which just proves how smart he is! If he can do that well without doing his work, just think how well he'd do if he did do the work! Chloe's teacher says despite her problems he wishes he could turn her work ethic into some kind of vaccination and give it to all the other kids. How well I know the feeling.
